I used to be a Christian and I still think that euthanasia isn't bad. People who've have termal cancer and it's not going to get better, I believe should have help with it. I believe that it should be legal. Unfortunately there would be people who would abuse it. Also, I don't think animals should suffer. My mother is a Christian and she has the same views on this as I do. It's cruel to watch people/animals suffer when they would be much better off and in less pain if they were euthanasia.
Well as a Christian, I believe that euthanasia is wrong and is just an easy way out of solving a problem. People have been created in God's image. (God says so in Genesis. Huamns are the only thing that God created in His image.) Therefore we are very special. We have worth. Killing people is killing people, regardless of whether they are useful to society or not, and The Bible is very clear that murder is wrong.
in the catechism it does bring up the topic of euthanasia, but will say it is wrong depending on intention and the situation basically. euthanasia is mainly thought of killing a person when they still have the opportunity to live, and so that's why it would be thought of as wrong. but if it were intentionally done for the better of the person and done because the person was incurable and was suffering, and done with the consent of the patient then it would be a different story.
Christians themselves, the individuals of the faith, may very well have different opinions on whether euthanasia is morally right or not. ~rainingcoconuts
All of them
Christians are strongly against euthanasia. They believe that only God can take away one's life. For Hindus, they believe that euthanasia will damage the karma of both doctor and patient.
No. True Christians do not agree with euthanasia. They believe that it is a sin to take away anybody's life, including their own.
catholics: catholics believe that this is wrong and only god has the power to take away lives, catholics and their leaders obey by the bible verse 'tha'll shall not murder". Helping someone to die in this situation is not even a option in a catholics view Christians: christians believe that killing someone to help ease there suffering is wrong but not all christians agree by this some thing differently and think euthanasia is a good idea if the suffering is so great to the mind and/or the body Hope this helps!
Because they believe that only God has the right to take away someones life
I'm a christian & strongly believe in euthanasia.
Most Christians believe that the ivory trade is wrong. They believe this because they believe in obeying the law and not harming animals or people.
Christians believe that terrorism is wrong.
Most doctors who are against euthanasia are against it because they believe they are there to heal and protect, not kill. According to the Hyppocratic oath, "I will never do harm to anyone", and many doctors hold with that line of ethics.
no
Christianity views euthanasia as a sin. God has given you the gift of life and it would be wrong for you to reject that gift by killing yourself. Even if you are suffering, that too is part of God's mysterious plan. Right?
Yes every situation that deals with euthanasia is wrong. It is wrong to take a chance when there are such things as psychopaths in the medical field who do not care about taking lives.
