Canada today is a journal site owned by Stew Fettes dedicated for all Canadians.
Of course, as they did in the 1600's, 1700's, 1800's, 1900's and maybe even today.
I would think most "Americans" are lazy and are just looking for a way out of taking the blame for why the u.s. is spiraling downward. Most people in the country today would define an American as an independent and self reliant individual with strong family ties and strong loyalties to groups, individuality and individual rights.
Even more than it ever was. Where Canadians were once mainly British, French and Native, now we are experiencing many and varied new immigrants.
More than one-fourth of Canadians identify themselves as being immigrants today. This diverse population enriches Canadian society with a variety of cultures, languages, and traditions.
The exact number is unknown, but with the Reserves, roughly 100,000.
In Canada immigrants are called First Generation Canadians because once they get citizenship they have all the rights and duties of Canadians whose family have been here for many generations. The first effect would be the massive increase in First Generation Canadians. The next would be where they were from. Changes in our immigration laws in the 1960s and through to today have resulted in most first generation Canadians being from Asia. Previously we had restrictions on immigration from Asia. With the large scale immigration, as it has been in the past, came new cultures. Canada does not force it's culture onto new Canadians, they can and do keep their own and that is much easier with larger numbers.
As of today, Canadians may be celebrating various events, including national holidays, local festivals, or cultural observances. If today is a specific date, such as Canada Day on July 1st, they would be celebrating the country's confederation. Additionally, Canadians often engage in celebrations related to Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, or other regional festivities. For the most accurate information, please refer to the current date and any notable events associated with it.
