In order to sustain the ecological cycle on the earth the consumer heterotroph and producer autotroph need each other.
They are all link to each other in the food web and food cycle prevailing on the earth.
Consumers are heterotrophs. Autotrophs are producers.
They are all types of organisms in an ecosystem. Decomposers break down dead organisms, producers create food through photosynthesis, predators hunt and consume other organisms, and consumers feed on producers or other consumers for energy.
heterotrophs
Consumers are heterotrophs and do not get their energy directly, but by eating organisms that do, or by eating other consumers. Herbivores are primary consumers, predators are secondary or higher. Detrivores consume the dead matter left by either producers, or consumers, or both.
Heterotrophic organisms are consumers, as they cannot produce their own food and instead obtain energy by consuming other organisms, either plants (herbivores) or other animals (carnivores). Unlike producers, which are typically autotrophic and can create their own food through processes like photosynthesis, heterotrophs rely on the organic compounds created by producers. Examples of heterotrophs include animals, fungi, and many bacteria.
Consumers,decomposers,producers
producers has the highest number and they are called autotrophs because they make their own food then the consumers are next which are called heterotrophs because they depend on other organism for food and the decomposers are on the top of the pyramid of numbers
Kingdom Protista can occupy various trophic levels, as they include diverse organisms such as algae, protozoa, and some heterotrophic protists. Some protists are primary producers (autotrophs), while others are consumers (heterotrophs) feeding on producers or other consumers.
there is no such thing as erotrophs but there are heterotrophs which are consumers or other feeders.
Consumers eat other organisms and producers make their own food.
They differ in one fundamental way:Autotrophs fix their own energy. (They are the producers of the ecosystem.)Heterotrophs must get their energy from other sources. (They are the consumers, detritivores, or decomposers of the ecosystem.)
Producers (plants) make their own food, consumers don't. Consumers have to eat producers or other consumers.
