If you mean this literally, dogs 'get in your face' because it is the way they greet each other. Dogs will greet each other by sniffing and just looking at each others faces. As we are taller than them, they will prefer to jump on us to greet us by trying to look at our face.

This is a sign of dominance. I experienced this with my spayed female, which was humping a neutered cat! She's also tried this with my other dog. This is a potentially serious problem, but it can be resolved if you don't let it go too far. Don't worry, your dog doesn't have any big issues, just get some advice for correcting! PS; If your dog is mature and in heat, it could possibly have to do with wanting a mate but... I seriously doubt it.

Because they want you to play with them. Next time a dog brings a rope toy up to you try playing tug of war with them or if they bring a ball try to throw it for them =D

hope that helps!

Dogs like to play. They hide things so that they (or you) can find them again, just like human children like to play hide and seek.

dogs play with dog toys because the toys are designed to catch the dogs attention; and also it is in their interest to play with those sort of toys.

what are the best dog toys?

The best dog toys are ones that engage your furry friend both mentally and physically. Interactive toys like puzzle feeders or treat-dispensing toys can keep your dog entertained while providing mental stimulation. Rope toys are great for tug-of-war and also help keep their teeth clean. Rubber chew toys are durable and perfect for aggressive chewers. Scented toys, such as those infused with bacon or peanut butter scents, can be enticing and keep your dog interested during playtime. Additionally, plush toys can provide comfort and companionship, especially for dogs who enjoy cuddling. Regularly inspect toys for any signs of wear and tear, and replace them if they become damaged to prevent choking hazards. Overall, the best dog toys are ones that cater to your dog's preferences and provide both entertainment and enrichment.
