I can tell you federal, state and local government employees as well as unionized employees either private or public are covered the best against harassment. However private sector non unionized workers are the most harassed in the U.S. Harassment in the work place occurs mostly in jobs where a secondary education is not a prerequisite for employment and where wages are low. So when being interviewed remember to ask questions in a very non threatening diplomatic way about harassment. This can be done by asking a standard list of questions while being interviewed in a way that so that the interviewer will not feel uncomfortable with them and won't feel you may have had a bad experience in the past with harassment.
