Tears wash out our eyes to get out dirt or anything harmful. When something like an eyelash gets in your eyes, have you noticed how you might start tearing up? That is your body's way of trying to get it out.

It dries them out when you look directly into the wind, causing your tear ducts to go on overdrive to 're-moisten' them. That is why you start almost crying sometimes, your eyes have become too dry, which isn't a good thing, and your body reacts (though often goes a bit OTT).

What do you mean if your eyes water all the time then you may have an infection.go to the optitions(eye doctor) and get your eyes checked out. If you don't then it will get worse and that would lead to you not seeing properly.the longer you wait the more your eyes are going to get worse

Because when it is cold or cooler out there is less water in the air. The humidity in the air is lower as well because when the air temp is low it can't hold as much water. Then with the lack of water in the air it may cause your eyes to tear up and produce the water that will make your eyes comfortable in the dry conditions.

Your eyes are basically washing themselves out so no dirt or anything is on them while you sleep.

It is because while running wind is blown into your eyes. Wind speeds up evaporation on your eyes causing your eyes to become dry and irritated. To prevent that, your body makes your eyes water thus repeating the process.
