how is pest and disease a problem to farmers
Peasant farmers are effected by pest and diseases like most other farmers. The real negative to the pest invasions and diseases is that peasant farmers do not have the resources to manage the cost of the pest and disease. Also, the profits are affected, resulting in worse conditions compared to other farmers who experience the same conditions.
Call Ghostbusters, or Pest Control! :)
Moreover, concern was on the rise over the presence of chemicals in foods, forcing farmers to rethink their pest- and quality-control practices.
It depends on the individual farm.
because jack russells are good at pest control
False. Organic farmers and gardeners have been doing just that for years.
i would say to clear out debris from rotting leaves and such. plus i enjoy their singing. but some people do not. and for some when the cricket populations comes en masse they can be a pest. but they also provide food for birds. i watch the grackle birds eat crickets and even catch the crickets in flight.
Farmers harvest their crops quickly to avoid having it been eaten by pest their need the crops to have full nutrition's :~)
A pest is any animal (or plant) that is detrimental to humans or human interests. Farming pests include things such as insects (eg. midges, mosquitoes, caterpillars, crickets, locusts), mammals (eg. mice, rats, foxes), birds (eg. crows) and weeds (eg. Bermuda grass, ragweed).
"Pest offense controls lots of different little bugs and small rodents that invade your home. Some insects may include ants, crickets or spiders. It can also work for things like mice and rats."
In a sense yes. Bearded dragons, like most reptiles help keep pest type animals down. In the Bearded's case it is primarily crickets and grubs. Since crickets, grasshoppers, grubs, ets. can cause problems with many types of farms, by the reptiles keeping these creature's population down, they indirectly keep farmers employed and eating.
