Because they think that being a size 6 (which we think is normal!) is being too fat and in their minds, models are not meant to be fat, they are meant to be tall and slim.
Subtraction. They all want to be size zero.
The basic assumption made in the question is incorrect. Everyone did not and does not wish to be anorexic. It came to prominence because many people had a poor self image and believed much of the hype made by fashion trends. Exacerbated by companies using very underweight models. There were several minor celebrities with the illness that added to the problem by people believing they were good role models.
NO!! who would ask a question like that Heidi Klum isn`t and I want to be a fashion model and I get straight As on my report card
all i want to know is were models train, what schools, academys, they say this website ansers everything, well it doesent, stupid school projects.
If you want to be a fashion designer, you will get to see your designs on models and get to be happy about the fact that they worked out. Also, you'll get to be more famous and meet some other famous fashion designers!
BEST. Like the best way to get into a car accident. Anorexic is a mind set. OCD helps but girl you just want to be skinny and that not anorexic.
Yes. Age is very important in modeling, mainly for fashion and runway. The younger a model is, the better. Most fashion/runway models start as young as 14. By industry standards, 25 is typically the age when the average fashion/runway model "retires." However, print modeling is open to all ages, even middle age and elderly models, which are always in demand by companies that want to promote products geared towards those demographics. As far as gender, female models are always prevalent in all types of modeling. Male models fall under the categories of print, fashion and runway modeling. There is currently no market for male plus size or petite models, however.
Impossible, actually. Once you're anorexic you are going to keep losing weight, until you are the most anorexic you can be, and then you'll eventually die. Why would you want to be anorexic without losing weight? Isn't that the whole POINT of anorexia?
Because peoples role models are people that play professional sports so people want to dress like them to be or represent them.
This depends on what kind of modeling you want to do. Fashion/editorial/runway models are required to be between 5'8"-6'0" for females and 5'10"-6'2" for males. Commercial/print models should be between 5'5"-5'7" for females and 5'9"-6'2" for males. Plus size models have the same height requirements as fashion/editorial/runway models, while petite models tent to fall between 5'0"-5'7" range. Critics in the industry regard any female model under 5'7" as "petite."
No! Anorexic thin can LITERALLY kill you!
I will get down to the point and tell you firmly....DO NOT BE LIKE AN ANOREXIC!If you do, in while you might get more into it and have the eating disorder itself....It's completely pathetic saying you want to be anorexic. I would much rather be a comfy size 10 then an ultra skinny 0, because to be honest, anorexic people look really bad.
