Rabbits reproduce so fast because their genetics tell them to. Not only do rabbits breed in large numbers but their gestation period is very short.

Because, since they are slow then they get eaten by other animals e.g. foxes. So they die younger, not creating as many genes cells as faster rabbits

Fast rabbits pass on more gene cells because they die at a older age allowing them to create more gene cells to pass on to the next generation of rabbits.

Because they are fast and when an animal come to chase them they escape and by that they create more genes cell than the slow rabbit

Terms in genetics?

The link below will help you get started with this question. There are many terms:

Is eye color a inheritance?

eye colour is due to polygenic inheritance. 2 genes specify for the green/blue pigments and 2 or more genes encode for the brown pigment. the brown genes mask the blue/green genes. eye colour is purely genetic as it is not subject to environmental influences. it was originally thought that eye colour was controlled by 2 genes, but since the human genome project , it is now known that many more genes are involved.

Why are humans so lazy?

The same reason you were too lazy to think of the answer to this yourself. Many animals conserve their energy by doing minimal work. This would be a shrewed tactic if food resources were scarce and movement would waste valuble calories. The genes which promote this energy conservative behaviour would be passed on the the next generation and thus a greater proportion of the nect generation would have these genes. Hence we have a human population which is rich in energy conservation genes, or lazy genes as you put it. Why are you so judgmental?

What is the passing of traits from one generation to another?

There are many things that happen with the passing of traits from one generation to another. It is known as giving a hereditary trait.

What is different in phenotypes of an individual from those in the same species?

Phenotypes are the characteristics of the genes that are most dominant, and can represent themselves. Species have many different genes for example, you dont have the exact same genes as your best friend, and thus, producing different phenotypes which is why you look different... However, you do have may similar genes that make you part of that species.

How many genes are there in DNA?

Different species have different numbers of genes. About 1.5% of human DNA is genes - and it is estimated that there are around 23,000 protein-coding genes.

How many rabbits are in the world?

For breeds there are 40 main breeds and about that many more cross breed ones too. but for a number total i dont know, but i know that they are not extincted. Total Land Surface Area 148,300,000 sq km I would guesstimate between 373,763,000-1,052,010,750 million rabbits
