It would most defenitly help to know them, and i would say to be on a school cheerleading squad you probably would but for a Allstar squad you probably wouldn't but it would help. Most Allstar teams accept anyone who wants to cheer

No, a cheer squad would not make their cheer players cheer with anything inside them. Rumors like this are started by younger children.

That would be the Dallas Cowboys. The original cheerleading squad started back in 1960, then called the CowBelles & Beaux due to having female and male high school students in the squad. In 1969, the name was changed to the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders after it became an all-female squad. in 1972, the squad's age requirement was raised to women over 18 years old, and the uniforms were redesigned to the basics of what you see today. This new-look squad first appeared in 1972, and has been a staple ever since.

I would suggest keepin the current squad and then contact the coache about tryouts only for thegirls that want to try out and only of this is a big group of girls that missed try outs, one or two probably won't cut it

Gymnastics and dance seem to be part of the cheerleading skill set. If you can find a cheerleader willing to help tutor you to get ready for the tryouts, that would help. However, getting ready may take months rather than weeks since there is a lot to learn.

In my opinion a cheer coach promotes a child's dream of becoming someone who cheers someone on and doesn't let them down they also teach a squad how to do certain tasks that a cheerleader does.
Can you join cheerleading if you have diabetes?
it depends what kind of squad you join. compition probably wouldn't be the best because of the intence routines. If you would like to do cheerleading for basketball that would be the best for diabetes football would be alright but possibly a little more intence now this all depends on what school you go to my school is very layed back and the routines are not ssuper tiring but my comp squad is crazy about perfect tumbling and stuff if you go to some school who has won state champs or even natonals tht might not be the best idea. Some schools offer wrestling cheerleading which is where you sit down the whole time and cheer from a sitting position. Everything also depends on how bad your diabetes is. I would ask s doctor and your schools cheer coaches just to be sure if this sport is right for you. If not there are plenty of other things that are a lot of fun.

Are cheer shoes good for running?
Any tennis shoes you have are alright for cheer tryouts(: But, preferably a white, flat bottom, narrow shoe would work better! Either way, just make sure you are comfortable & they are shoes you do your best in! If you still would like to know what would be the best choice, just search what cheer shoes look like or go to a shoe department/ sports store & look at the Nike or Adidas cheer shoes!
