Most young girls (and sadly enough adult women too) really believe, that they can only ever be really beautiful with lots of make up. It's a lie the media sells us, so we buy more and more products.
Just take a look at all the photo shopped pictures of movie stars etc. Real girls feel they can't compete with that (and face it we never will), so they use all that make up, to get at least as close as possible ---> that is what the media suggests us: buy our product and become beautiful / sexy / successful...
I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. Anyways this is just my opinion, feel free to add your own comment!
PS: I'm a girl. I wear make up sparingly, if ever and I actually take a look at the ingredients and check for non-animal testing!
