It doesn't. Girls just prefer longer hairstyles than boys.
Not necessarily true:
Girls do prefer longer hairstyles because it matches the woman style BUT- it also is a sign of womanhood/being femine. For men/boys, they have shorter hair because in the older days, they needed shorter hairs for activities they did ex: hunting, battling. But, many girls have short hair and many boys have long hair. We're equal--hairwise.
Boys and girls both have the same head of hair but girls tend to grow their hair longer rather than boys who cut it short. :)
Actually, boys' hair can grow just as long as girls' hair. How long your hair grows only depends on how short you cut it.
Ofcourse boys.

Additionally, personal preferences and individual styles also play a role in determining hair length.
Boys. Girls have more hair's than Boys!
Boys will grow body hair, facial hair, have a deepening of voice, and more development of the genitals. Girls will grow body hair, develop curves on the waist, have a period, and develop breasts. Both sexes may have acne.
Dry your hair with a hair dryer, instead of just towel drying your hair. It will make anyones hair grow out longer.
