They don't!! They are socially constructed to think they do, from the day they are born society and family, peers etc., tell them pink is for girls and blue is for boys and so begins the social construction of gender.

Not generally, some girls dont like pink but rather they like blue. same with the boys.. i knew some guys that like that color.. it depends actually.

Pink became associated with girls in the early 20th century through marketing and societal norms. It was seen as a softer, more delicate color that aligned with traditional gender stereotypes of femininity. However, these associations are socially constructed and not inherent to the color pink itself.

In the 1920's pink was associated with boys saying was more masculine and blue was for girls saying was more dainty and delicate. In China, for example, pink is considered a color of good luck & success; often used in decoration & in clothing and not specifically gender related...

Boys tend to hate the colour "pink" because it is said to be a feminine colour (only girls should like it), but now days boys seem to wear the colour. Otherwise it may just be that this particular boy seems to dislike the colour.
