Cleaning glass with newspaper can be effective because the ink acts as a mild abrasive, helping to remove dirt and grime. However, there is a risk of scratches if the newspaper is too rough or abrasive. It's best to use a soft, clean cloth or microfiber towel for cleaning glass to avoid any potential scratching.
newspaper between those two but a waffle weave microfiber towel is much better than both of those.
Household cleaners specifically designed for cleaning glass, such as Windex, are great for cleaning mirrors. A cheaper alternative that leaves mirrors virtually streak free is to dab a sheet of newspaper into rubbing alcohol and clean with the newspaper until the surface is streak free. The newspaper will not leave reminents of cloth on the mirror like a cloth would.
