Why do guinea pigs squeal like they cant breathe sometimes?

Well, I have four guinea pigs and my oldest guinea, at six years old, will sometimes give us a guilt trip if we're late for dinner by 'wheezing' at us. I don't think it means anything serious, but if my explanation doesn't calm you down, check out your vet.
