I think it is mostly a style thing. Personally, I like higher heeled shoes because I like the added height, plus I really like the look. If they fit well, they are more comfortable than flat heeled shoes or boots. I think it is high time that men's fashions come out of the "dark ages" and become more fashion forward. Just so the designers don't try to "macho" the heels up to the point that they ruin the style and balance of the shoes, I think it would work well.
