Historians do not have a view as to when Jesus was born, because there is simply not enough evidence. They simply point out that King Herod died in April 4 BCE, so if Jesus was born during the reign of Herod, he could not have been born later than this. Matthew's Gospel even indicates that Jesus was probably born some years earlier. On the other hand, Luke's Gospel says that Jesus was also born during the census of Quirinius, which took place ten years after the death of Herod. Raymond E. Brown (An Introduction to the New Testament) says the best explanation for Luke's paradox is that, although this author likes to set his Christian drama in the context of well-known events from antiquity, sometimes he does so inaccurately.

Based on Matthew's Gospel, it is entirely possible that Jesus was born in 10 BCE. In Matthew, Jesus would have been born perhaps some years before King Herod died in April 4 BCE. On this evidence , a year between 6 BCE and 10 BCE would seem likely, although most prefer a date towards the later end of this range.Luke's Gospel partly supports this, to the extent of simply saying Jesus was born during the reign of King Herod, but on the other hand places his birth at the time of the census, which occurred in 6 CE.
September 11, 4 BCE.
Originally, historians of the 19th or twentieth century calculated events of the Bible so that it was said that Jesus was born on the year ZERO. BUT they miscalculated. Now we know that Jesus was actually born in the year 7 c.e.!
One thought:It is believed by many that the flood took place around 2370 BCE and that Job lived around 700 years AFTER the flood, making it 1670 BCE. Jesus was most likely born around 2 BCE, so Job would have lived about 1,668 years before Jesus.
