This means that you are probably looking at the ground or your hands (a habit that beginner riders have) you need to look up at where you are going.
A horse simply isn't built to lie down for long, it compressses the lungs and disturbs the function of the stomach. It needs to stand up to breathe properly and keep its bowels moving.
No more than fifteen seconds, maybe a half minute if the horse is tired.
The front goes first. a horse lies down by buckling its front knees then its back end goes down. the horse gets up by raising itself on its front end then pushing its self onto his back end and into a standing position.
Approach the horses from the rear and use your lasso to bind it's legs. There is no way to be sure. Good luck, and as they say in horse country- open up wide, saddle boy!
A horse being cast refers to a situation where the horse has gotten stuck or wedged against a wall or other object and is unable to stand up on its own. It is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation for the horse, as it can restrict blood flow and cause health issues. Prompt veterinary attention is needed to safely help the horse stand up.

When you are riding a horse at a trot you can either sit the trot (something that require a lot of practice to be able to do well), or do a rising trot where you post (go up and down in the saddle) in time with the horse's outside leg.
