Humans care more for their own species out of instinct as well as familiarity. You probably love your family and friends more than strangers, correct? The same tends to extend to people and the rest of the human species. In addition, we're programmed to care for our own first. It's instinct to care for those of your own social group, and with a global expansion of communications people feel closer to one other than ever before.
Unfortunately, this people-first attitude often gets extended into animal cruelty... saving a kid instead of a dog is expected and commendable, but exploiting animals for profit because "people come first" is an unfortunate side effect of this mindset ):
Because they feel that the animals are less fortunate then themselves so they care for them as their children. Or they might not have children or have lost a child in a accident so they care for the animal as they would have cared for their child.
It is subjective to say whether animals are more important than humans. Both animals and humans have value and deserve respect and care.
Wild animals care for their young ones with great love, sometimes a little more then us humans.
Heritability is the likelihood of different traits being passed down in a species. It is more difficult to estimate in humans than in livestock or laboratory animals because humans are less controlled. Humans will interbreed among races and cultures, while animals generally keep to their own type.
Sometimes yes, they expect less than humans and can be cute so most people would rather like them than people.
Sexual reproduction is not a matter of more or less when comparing humans with other living things. Humans reproduce sexually. Most animals reproduce sexually. Many plants reproduce sexually. Some plants and a few animals can reproduce asexually.
Animals reproduce much faster than humans and have more children at one time.
There are more animals than there are humans, but the overall total is constantly changing.
Humans generally have higher levels of intelligence compared to animals. This is due to our advanced cognitive abilities, such as problem-solving, reasoning, and language skills, which are more developed in humans. Additionally, humans have the ability to create and use complex tools, engage in abstract thinking, and exhibit self-awareness, traits that are less commonly seen in animals.
Yes. But technically, humans are animals.
