At the most it might be as painful as pulling a few arm hairs out with your watch band. Chapped lips are so much more painful that there is no comparison.Some folks are more afraid of the concept of getting a shot than anything else. After the several hundredth shot you don't notice the tiny pain, but you do comment on the technique. Remember, every diabetic is testing his blood everyday at least once with a blood glucose meter which requires mechanically puncturing the skin.
