It is like electricity. Devices we use need it for power. It's the same concept, the car needs fuel to run, it's like its power source.
Its obviously not getting fuel to the throttle body, this is most likely the fuel pump, but you should start by replaceing the fuel filter becase of the low cost.
pinched gas line or dirty filter
It should have 60 to 66 LBS. NO MORE AND NO LESS. are you will have problems. And yes that is why it won't start. Replace fuel pump.
Pouring the injector cleaner down the throttle body won't clean the injectors. You need to add the injector cleaner to the fuel tank for it to help you. Read the instructions on the container of injector cleaner.
Drain fuel tank, blow out fuel lines, pour gasoline into carb or throttle body to run vehicle to get rid of balance of diesel fuel
Probably needs a new fuel pump. Replace the fuel filter first.
Gas pouring out of the throttle body would probably be caused by a leaking injector seal.
I would start with replacing the fuel filter. Also they are bad about fuel leaks from the fuel pressure regulator.
Does it stay running after putting gas down throttle body? 88 should be throttle body injection not carb. TBI you should see gas squirting out of the injectors when its cranking if not then no pressure or bad injectors, wiring
you should check your fuel pump fuse and relay and if that isn't the problem, make sure you are getting power to the fuel pump if all is good it may be possible that you have purchased a bad pump. you can also remove the pump from the tank and hook it directly to a battery to check power.
Sounds like the fuel pump is not working. Need to check the fuel pump relay and fuse and make sure thay are good. Also check the fuel filter.
You completely waste the injector cleaner. It has to flow through the ports which supply fuel to the engine to do its job. That's why the directions tell you to put it into the gas tank in a certain ratio to gas. It mixes with the fuel in the tank, flows through the system and out of the injector ports.
