Individuals make mistakes throughout their lives (none of us are perfect) but it is how we learn our lessons from those mistakes that makes us wiser and stronger people with empathy for others and to give us strength to do the very best we can. If a person doesn't learn from their mistakes then they will just continue to repeat it and the misery will be laid on their shoulders. No one's life is completely happy. If we didn't have some rough roads to go down and know some sadness in our lives then we wouldn't know what happiness felt like. We have choices as to what road we choose to go down ... good ones or bad ones.
