Mary worship is nowhere adjoined in The Bible. This together with making and worshiping images. Marian worship began when paganism entered the church in the middle ages. Instead of throwing away there pagan gods and practices, they just gave them christian names. For example, the statue of Peter in the Vatican is much older than Peter, it was the statute of Appolos. "Mary" honored by Catholics is not the biblical Mother of Jesus but a pagan goddess masquerading as the humble handmaid of the Lord! But sadly many Catholics do not know this.
