Children these days are not to be blamed. They are the product of their surroundings. Research suggests kids use profanity due to the influence of adults swearing much more often during the last 3 decades.
I believe that the media can be a factor. Though, the media is just a catalyst of this cursing society. I find this quite sad to be honest, because im 16 myself and I hear citizens of my age group swearing much more frequently during the last few years. I also hear kids even at the age of 7 and 8 swearing like its part of their everyday vocabulary. I find swearing to be very inferior, unintelligent and disrespectful.

Kids may swear frequently for a variety of reasons, such as exposure to swear words in media or from peers, seeking attention or fitting in with a social group, or experimenting with language as they navigate boundaries and social norms. It's important for parents and educators to address this behavior by providing guidance, setting clear expectations, and fostering open communication.

Just to clear up my answer, I am a 14 year old. My parents dont swear at me often. My dad sometimes does and it hurts me a lot. It creates a bad environment for my family and when it does happen we often ignore each other for the day. It is really hurtful to me, so I would say you probably shouldn't swear at kids unless it is used in a funny or positive way.
For several reasons. I believe mostly because their parents swear around them so they have learnt that it's okay to swear.
