the surface of the water behaves similar to a magnifying glass.
Because you look down and see the water rushing past your feet, which makes you seem to be moving. Your inner ear disagrees with this assessment since you're actually standing still. The conflict causes dizziness.
No, you have to wet your hair to cut it. When it dries it will get curly and the shorter the layer is the shorter your hair is gonna be. Unless you straighten it, it will not look good. It will look good, I think. If you like the lenght of your hair ask them not to cut the lenght that you just want a few layers.
The water is reflecting the blue sky.
well, look the sun doesn't move so I'm not sure. but i think that if it would move days where a lot shorter or longer!
its just water that's puddled in a town or city it also can be destructive by filling houses with water
Wear flat shoes. No high heels. Also a croped jacket and capris make your legs look shorter. Stay away from vertical stripes.
This is due to a phenomenon known as refraction. It's the same effect that causes a pencil to look bent if you stick it into a glass of water.
yes.because ıts ture
Due to refraction. :p It makes you perceive that the persons legs are shorter. To think this is all to do with the simple distortion of mediums :)Sources: My year 8 science class.
A girl would cross her legs whilst sat or standing
Approximately two inches shorter.
i think he about 5ft8" or 9" but he look shorter because of his frame and he always standing next to tall people...
Get a clear glass and half fill it with water. Place a straw or stick in the glass and if you look form the side you will see that where the stick enters the water it appear to have a kink in it. This is because the path of light is bent (refracted) by the water. When you stand in water and look down at your legs, this bending of the light make the image of your legs took foreshortened.
They aren't designed to do it, if you'll take a horse and look at the way it walks, you'll see that it is reversed from us, to stand on their hind legs is like standing on our hands
Look at your legs, look at your friends legs. Compare them.
Yes. Chi's are either applehead or deerheads. Look at a chi's head...is round with a short nose...that's an applehead. Does it have a longer head with a longer nose....that's a deerhead. I have a deerhead...those also have longer legs and their bodies look leaner. While a applehead has shorter legs and they look stockier.
Foals look almost like your average adult horse, only the proportions of their legs compared to their body is different: they look like they're "all legs." Their mane is also short and often in a ruff like a zebra, they have shorter necks, shorter tails (because the hair isn't so long in their tails), and a slightly bigger head in proportion to the rest of their body. Here's a photo below of what a foal looks like.
