Best Answer

Most small parrots, like lovebirds, like millet because it is easy and quick to eat. If it is still attached to the stem in a spray, it is also fun for them to pick apart as they eat. For a small parrot, eating millet on a spray is kind of like those toys for kids that dispense candy.

Every bird loves millet!

Its a treat to them!

They shouldn't get more then 1 per bird though.

If you have 2 birds in 1 cage them put 2 in so they don't fight!

Can a love bird fall in love with another species of bird?

Lovebirds got their name from their tendency to form strong pair bonds. They can certainly form relationships with people. As pets, they live for about 15 years. During that time they can preen their human hosts, as they would a member of their own species. There are nine distinct species of lovebirds. Several have overlapping distributions in the wild. Hybridization between different species of lovebirds has been well-documented. I know of no reports of wild lovebirds forming pair bonds between themselves and non-lovebirds.
