Why do many libraries refuse to carry M-rated video games if they carry movies up to an R-rating?

Generally libraries have games in the teen section and movies in the adult section. Some choose to not buy games rated mature to be checked out by teens. Talk to the librarian from your library and ask about their policy.

∙ 9y agoLibraries often buy Video Games for the teen section. Sometimes the teens are playing them in the library. Therefore some librarians have a problem with teens playing mature games. The videos are generally stored in the adult section or behind the circulation desk where clerks only check them out to adults. If you disagree with a library policy, discuss this calmly with the librarian in your library.
