They stalk because they have an obsession with someone/something. Look at celebrities for a prime example; they get stalked all the time because of some type of obsession that someone has with them..whether it be jealousy because the celebrity is famous, rich, etc..or because the person loves that particular celebrity a lot and doesn't want them to be with any other person or anything. This kind of stuff happens often.
