Many reasons. People may do it consciously or unconsciously. People abuse drug, because they are stupid. They either don't have a clue what they are doing, or are trying to get into trouble. They do this because of pressure, a reason for self release, or to get their minds off of things.
It is a rough subject that people need to take more seriously.

∙ 12y agoBecause drugs get anyone high, which gets them out of themselves. Some people cannot handle life as everyone else and use drugs as a coping mechanism to deal with greif, loss, and trauma. Of course I speak of drug addicts, that I include myself.
If cancer got anyone high, some people would abuse it even knowing the consequence.
Your answer is that people use drugs for different reasons but mostly because they have an obsession with that particular high.
