They are baffles that absorb noise, making it run quieter.
hard intake hose
Follow the little hose from the front valve cover to the intake manifold. The part it hooks to on the intake is the pcv valve.
The 1998 Toyota Corolla air intake temperature sensor can be found on the air intake hose. The air intake hose will come from the air intake box and proceed to the engine.
What's under the intake is not a hose, it's a pipe which a hose attaches to behind the intake manifold near the firewall. If the hose is leaking, it's a relatively easy task to replace it. If the pipe is leaking, you will have to remove the intake manifold which is not an easy task (minimum 6 hours to remove and replace the manifold!)
a PVC hose is a hose connected to the back of the intake manifold to the front of the engine
The PCV valves on a majority of vehicles are conected to a vacume hose that plgs into the intake manifold and the valve itself or a connecting hose is connected directly into one of the valve covers. It is behind a wiring harness that runs between the intake manifold. Follow the vacuum hose down that plugs into the valve cover just to the right of the coil pack.
The thermostat is on top of your intake manifold, on the front side. Locate the radiator hose that runs to your intake, take the hose off and the thermostat will be sitting on the manifold under the hose.
Check the black hose between the throttle body and intake manifold.Check the black hose between the throttle body and intake manifold.
To remove the heater hose connected to the intake on a GM 350 engine, first ensure the engine is cool to avoid burns. Locate the hose clamp securing the hose to the intake, then use a pair of pliers or a screwdriver to loosen the clamp. Once the clamp is loose, carefully twist and pull the hose off the intake. If the hose is stuck, you may need to wiggle it gently to break the seal before removing it.
There is no hose under the intake. If it is leaking coolant it is because the intake manifold is cracked on the seam just behind the alt. You have to replace the intake with the modified one from Ford. It's a 6 to 8 hour job. Quote:There is no hose under the intake. There actually is a hose under ther intake but I am not sure where it leads. I had a pin hole in mine and have gotten to the hose but have not changed.
No hose connects from the air intake to the radiator. It may connect to a bracket mounted not the radiator but it does not connect to the coolant. If that is what you are stalking about it is called an air intake tube.
if you are asking what secures the hose...hose calmps!
