Not many people live in Highlands because they are not ideal locations for houses due to fact that it is extremly difficult to lay a firm foundation on hilly terrain, this diffculty applys for creating access to a property aswell, also because highlands are not generally urbanised, the nearest food shop could be quite a way away.
