What do you mean by argentometric titration?

Argentometric comes from the Latin word ''argentum''which means silver. Argentometric titrations are precipitation titrations based on the use of silver nitrate as the precipitating agent. For example in titrations of halide ions, divalent anions,mercaptans(Ag2S),Fatty acids etc. By Lukato Simon Makerere University Kampala,Uganda Tel.0782528726.
