Best Answer

1. They are naturally nocturnal

2. They have excellent night vision, which gives them an advantage for prey.

3. They have silent wings, so this combined with the darkness, makes is almost impossible for prey to detect them.

Most owls have extremely large pupils, which give them excellent night vision. Also, the owl has forward-facing eyes (most other birds have eyes on each side). This allows the owl "binocular vision" (the ability to see out of both eyes at once), which gives them more depth perception, which is an advantage in low-light hunting.

Owls are nocturnal because they can eat more in the night because all the insects are asleep.

It is easier for owls to see at night because they have special nightvision and some owls only come out at night because they are irritated by sonthing or someone.
