Because if the drug user in his/her past took pain medication there body grew immune to it. If this person started taking advil ever day than sooner or later his/her body would grow immune to the advil and he/she would have to take stronger and stronger pain medication each time because there body grew immunities to the medications so If he/she was having a headache and they needed advil it wouldn't work.
