they don't. its the children who insist. parents just capitulate because sooner or later, they are going to do it anyway.

Children watch films for the reason of taking a break from the things happening in their real world, also they watch films for the reason of escaping in to another world where there imagination can take over.
Why movies should not be rated?
To allow people to make a descision on wether or not the movie is appropriate for them or their children. And to let people know how scary or inappropriate the movie is. Some are rated PG13 which means "parental guidance for children under the age of thirteen" because the movie is too inappropriate and maybe scary for kids. _________________________________________________ The government was threatening to begin censoring films. The industry began self-regulating so that would not happen.
