Some people think Christianity is foolish because it contains some beliefs that are difficult or impossible to prove. Like any faith, Christianity has certain theological beliefs referred to as mysteries that cannot be explained but must be accepted by faith alone. The most central of these is the concept of the Trinity-- that there is one God who is three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Christians also believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born of Mary and became a man. He was crucified for the sins of the world, and by His death Christians believe that we all receive the grace to enter Heaven, an eternal state of perfect happiness and union with God.
There are most likely many reasons why people think Christianity is foolish. They will most likely not be shy in sharing their opinions should you ask.
