I can't speak for others but in my case, it just kind of happened. My wife and I didn't want a dog but my 8 year old daughter did. We kept saying "no" until my wife's friend showed up one day with a "free" dog. She was a cute little Cocker Spaniel but because we work or are out of the home so much, the little doggy was locked in her cage all day. After a year, we found our daughter didn't really bother with the dog at all. After two years, expensive vet bills, messes on the floor and trying to find someone to keep her when we went on vacation, we said it's time for her to go. For two months, I called around but no one wanted her. I called a shelter but the lady said the dog has a bad chance of finding a new home. I couldn't take her to a shelter knowing she may be put to sleep and I didn't know what to do. Finally, I found someone interested (remember I was giving the dog away for free) but when they saw her they didn't like her color (she was jet black). On my way home, I stopped at my office to get my mail and the dog jumped out. She then trotted up the road and Into the Woods. I said "oh well" and the rest is history.

∙ 12y agoBecause there sick ***** that have no respect and to be honest.... any one that abandons a dog, for what ever reason, should be jailed for life.
