Because then that answers the question. Questions are made to be found out. Not for fun.
Sometimes if you are not allowed to answer a question it is a rhetorical question! But if people don't answer questions on wikianswers then that's because they don't know the answer !Simple as!
Rhetorical questions encourage the listener to think about what the (often obvious) answer to the question must be. :) AND Rhetorical questions make the audience think about an answer to the question but no response is needed. This makes the reader think of all the possible answers, which then becomes memorable to them.
no It's not a rhetorical question if someone answer it.
They either are being humorous, or are asking a rhetorical question.
Some people ask rhetorical q's to try to prove a point to try to get people to understand the importance they feel something has. If one such question is answer, the purpose is defeated. |?\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ (THE DOMINO EFFECT)
People ask weird questions or rhetorical questions because it is fun just to see what the is. Just knowing weird facts gives people more fun in their lives.
You can challenge the people to think by using a rhetorical question.
Well, some questions are rhetorical in that they do not need to be answered. Then there are questions that answer themselves. Take the question "Why do people ask questions and get no results?". If no response is given then it answers itself. If a response is given then it negates itself because it was answered.
Side note; a rhetorical question is not a retort, though some people use it as such, it is rhetorical as in rhetoric which is sort of a teaching that you follow to the letter with out any thought what so ever kind of like some religions or even those without religion. That said a rhetorical question is more of an idiomatic question (idiom) because it is so often said. example 'what is truth' 'what is normal' 'which came first the chicken or the egg'. There are no good rhetorical questions, they all suck just as bad as the idioms they have become.
Is this a rhetorical question? Yes, of course they do.
Some people think that homework is helpful
Right! No. Right! No... ARGH! As this is a rhetorical question I believe it is not supposed to have an answer. I also believe people shouldn't use wikianswers for rhetorical questions. Wikianswers is supposed to be used for finding out things not for fun with rhetorical questions. Things like this shouldn't be put on. Remember the one you saw before? Saying you are actually left to die? I would be utterly offended if they were saying that to me. So in conclusion, I suggest you do not put rhetorical questions up unless there should be an answer. P.S. Neither. You are not am I right. YOU ARE RIGHT! But unfortunately, you did not say why you are right so you are right about nothing. :P
