Catholics celebrate confirmation when they are usually around the age of 13. It strengthens their faith and is often referred to as "Becoming solider for Christ." In a way it can symbolize maturity in a young Catholic. Protestant churches also have confirmations and dedication ceremonies, usually in the 6th or 7th grades.
