Because they cannot see the positive aspects, and only focus on the negatives (perceived or real).
Other people just find them hopelessly boring. Some people don't like to spend hours staring at a TV screen unless they're watching something with a plot/story arc and characters that are believable as human beings. Yes, I know that some Video Games have plots and complex characters, but it's just not the same.
Because they're immature idiots who either hate on it for not having DVD support (which is not the point of a game system) or because it's Nintendo and it's cool to hate Nintendo for making so called "kiddie" games, because if it's a game that anyone can enjoy, then it must be a stupid kiddie game, right? Well, you can play your Madden and Halo, and I'll play my kiddie Mario and Zelda.
The Xbox One is run on a processor very much like the PS4. However, when Xbox One showed their release at E3, they had restrictions. For instance, to play your games, you had to check in online every 24 hours. If you didn't, you couldn't play your game. These rules were reversed, but alot of gamers are still pretty upset about it.
Interesting fact: It's very possible that Playstation was also going to make this announcement but quickly changed before E3, due to the negative feedback Microsoft was getting prior to E3.
Xbox One will have cloud support, meaning that your game will play smoother and get rid of loading screens, because the cloud will load scenes prior. This is a great thing and to use it, naturally, you have to have internet. But the cloud support is optional. PS4 said they will have the same thing in later 2014.
Another reason people find PS4 more favorable is that it's 100$ cheaper than the upcoming Xbox One. But, it could be considered worth the extra money since the Xbox One will have Kinect 2.0 built in. The Playstation eye will be sold separately. The new Kinect has accurate reading that races movements in a billionths of a second, making it alot smoother than the old version. The Playstion Eye, did not show off any new capabilities.
But if you are trying to decide which one you should buy, I would advice waiting for them to be out for a while. Both are running new versions of Xbox Live and PSN so they'll have some kinks to work out. Plus, It's always great to read up some reviews before spending any money.

Actually, Nintendo and Microsoft are pretty neutral against each other. Nintendo and Sony do hate each other in fact for an incident that happened with the SNES.
Because You have to pay for online play. But because we pay, we get better running servers. People will hate on what they don't have. That's how it is, and that's how it will always be.
Well people think your a little kid and they think you need to grow up then they start of like they hate Nintendo -.- I know that feeling
Sega doesn't hate Nintendo, but, in the 80s-90s, they did have a little rivalry, and people have to choose between which console to buy, Nintendo's console, or Sega's console. Now, Nintendo has let Sega use Mario and many other Mario characters in a few different Mario and Sonic Olympic crossovers.
They don't hate each other. In fact, the PlayStation was a joint project between Nintendo and Sony!
Yes, unfortunately. People do hate people.
a victim of hate is a person who suffers from people who hate on people for no reason
No, It is not. The people who write Nintendo Power DO NOT work or are affiliated with Nintendo. I am an Avid Reader and there is NO connection. NO ITS NOT
It seems like Cambodian people hate vietnamese people but vietnamese people don't hate cambodian people
They don't. SEGA and Nintendo used to hate each other in the 90's, but not anymore. No one said sega and nintendo both hated eachother ever. what are you talking about. And as for sonic and mario, they havent ever met unless your reffering to sonic and mario at the olymipic games, then no they don't hate eachother....... Just rivals
i hate it when people slurp there drinks
People who hate JLS are sad and have no lives.
A lot of people hate webkinz.com
Not that many people hate it. But a lot of people do not use it.
what or who people hate is an individual choice.
