Are guinea pigs friendlier than hamsters?

Well guinea pigs can interact more with their owners than hamsters do so I guess guinea pigs have more of a relationship with their owners than hamsters do but it doesnt neccessarily mean they are nicer

G-Pigs are definitely better than hamsters. Hamsters are known to bite and be viscious. Hamsters also sleep during the day and are awake during the night. i never liked mine because in middle of the night he would get up and run on his wheel and make squeaky annoying noises. G-Pigs are cuddly and nice and ae awake during the day so you can play with it. G-Pigs are also super smart, once they get used to their owner they remember him/her forever.

With good health, a guinea pig can live for up to eight years. Some things to consider, though:

Guinea pigs prefer to live in groups so you need to have two of them. Their cage has to be large enough for them to get exercise - usually about 1.5 to 2 square meters. Also they have specific dietary needs: lots of fresh water and a special kind of hay called timothy have to be available at all times or they can develop problems with their digestion or kidneys. Some commercial feeds still contain alfalfa although it's now known to cause gut problems. They also need to regularly have fresh vegetables like carrots, squash, etc. in limited amounts. Another thing to think about is that piggies require regular cleaning, usually two or three times a day. They tend to go to the bathroom wherever they are rather than using a specific place, and can develop foot sores if their flooring isn't kept clean and dry.

guinea pigs tend to be shyer, however are tamer once they have been handled over time compared to hamsters. hamsters are more sociable and playful.

Yes, Guinea Pigs are cleaner than Hamsters. It is because they don't have as much gas as a hamster, and, they aren't really that lazy. Hope this helps :D
