Hamsters ar smaller harder to handle thay have a tiny tail sticking out of their bum they have sharper and smaller teeth and there are not as many types of them as guinea pigs
Guinea pigs tails dont stick out they do have one but it is hidden when they bight it doesnt hurt. And they are allot more friendlier
No,NEVER,EVER give a guinea pig hamster food.Hamster food contains nuts, which are fine for the hamster but will almost certainly choke your guinea pig. Also hamster food contains corn which is way too fattening for guinea pigs. And lastly a guinea pig needs a lot of vitamin C which guinea pig food has plenty of while hamster food doesn't have nearly enough, plus hamster food has too much protein for guinea pigs.
No, guinea pigs should not be put in a guinea pig ball because they have delicate spines that can be injured by the rolling motion. It is better to provide a safe and spacious enclosure for your guinea pig to explore and play in.
It is not recommended to feed hamster food to guinea pigs as they have different nutritional needs. Guinea pigs require a diet high in Vitamin C, which is typically not present in hamster food. It is best to purchase guinea pig-specific food to ensure your pet receives the proper nutrients.
Definitley a guinea pig
If the cage is too small take it back and get a new one! Never get anything hamster for a guinea pig. If you have a small cage then that means you got a hamster cage.
i think a guinea pig's hearing is better than a hamster's because i tried to sneak up to my guinea pig but when i saw my guinea pig it was staring straight at me like it knew i was there already. i once owned a hamster and they did not notice me very often as much as guinea pigs. ;D
A guinea pig may cost a little more than a hamster.
