Nature is mankind's mother. Whatever mankind possesses is a gift of Nature. In Nature, man sees himself. The subtle joys and delights of Nature have been what nourished mankind for ages. While reading Nature poems, man once again goes through those dear and cherished sentiments he has gone through countless number of times in his life. The Nature imagery in those lines, once again brings forth alive and vivid those delights of being in the very lap of Nature which we thought never could be enjoyed anymore. There is this call of the wild, the mountains, rivers, meadows and the deserts resounding in us which we cannot resist. Nature poems quenches the thirst for the likeness and nearness of these primitive fostering elements. So it is quite natural that people like Nature poems.

Poems on life, feeling called love, animals, birds, nature, people and when she fell in love about "him"
William Wordsworth was the first poet who established nature poems as a branch of poetry with an identity. No one before him wrote as many simple and beautiful poems about nature as he did in his life. When he entered the scene, most poets were writing about nature in the midst of their poems dealing with other subjects. Exclusive nature poems were then uncommon. He made nature the main theme of his poems which people liked, and which became a new trend in literature. He wrote them with such ease that people generally liked to say that nature herself wrote for him. His poems had no style, because nature had no style in his eyes. His simplicity of diction also appealed to the public, made its impact in the literary world and gave confidence to future authors.

The romantic poems are not 'romantic' (lovey-dovey mushy stuff) like most people think. They are actually a collection of poems that were written during the romantic era (the 1800s). The most famous of the poems are by Lord Byron, William Blake, William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Percy Bysshe Shelly and John Keats. The poems mainly focus on nature and/or revolution as inspired by the French Revolution, Industrial Revolution and the American War of Independence
