This is a primate instinct shared with all the great apes (and many other animals, too). The origin of this reflex is to try to scare the threat away and to alert others to the danger to get help, etc. In modern human societies, we sometimes still scream even when these things are not possible or relevant (e.g. in a scary movie, on a roller coaster, etc.), so now the scream means simply, "I am afraid and/or surprised."
Jumping when scared is a natural reflex triggered by the body's fight-or-flight response. It's an evolutionary mechanism to help us quickly respond to potential threats by getting us ready to either flee or defend ourselves. The sudden jump allows for a quick burst of energy and prepares the muscles for action.
People scream because... when they are mad or scared, they feel like they can get all of their anger out when they scream. I personally think that you should just talk it out, but aparently not many people think so these days!
The jump is just a reaction to the scary thoughts in your brain which travels to the nervous system and since it's such a powerful demand, the nervous system spazzes and it spreads throughout the whole body and completes with a jump. Also, some people just do it for attention.
;P
I don't know, because it's a reflex of the brain.

People who are scared of homosexuals are often referred to as homophobic. It is important to address and challenge such fears by promoting understanding, empathy, and acceptance of diversity.
People can be scared of a variety of things, such as heights, spiders, failure, public speaking, or the unknown. Fear is a natural and adaptive response that can vary from person to person based on experiences, beliefs, and individual differences.
So far there's no record of a human jumping 15 feet. However according to the world record, the highest jump was 8.046 feet by Javier Sotomayor .. But then again there's probably people out there who can jump higher probably to 15 feet, people who we haven't heard of yet , and if not maybe in the future. The things that sound impossible are surprisingly possible. Like who would've thought that a man could go to the moon?
It's natural to have fears, as they can be a protective mechanism. However, it is important to assess whether those fears are rational or not, and to cultivate coping strategies to manage them effectively. Ultimately, facing and overcoming our fears can lead to personal growth and empowerment.
In the 1800s, people were scared of various things such as epidemic diseases like cholera and smallpox, industrial accidents in factories, political unrest, and the unknown effects of technological advancements like the steam engine. People also lived in fear of natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods, as well as the uncertainties brought on by rapid urbanization and shifts in socio-economic structures.
