Why do people hate The Twilight Saga so much?

First off, you must remember that no two people in this world are the same. Everybody has different likes and dislikes. What appeals to some does not appeal to others and everybody is entitled to have their opinion.

There are hundreds of reasons why people don't like Twilight and they are all over the internet. Some of the biggest reasons are:

• The poor quality of writing.

• The lack of character development.

• The lead up to fights that we never get to read about.

• It comes across as a fairy tale, only bad characters die, everything is resolved easily and it ended with a happily ever after.

• The characters are perfect and annoying.

• The books do not follow the vampire stereotypes.

• The books promote Meyer's Morman values that a lot of people disagree with; the man is in charge while the female should do everything he tells her which is very sexist and heavily criticised. No sex before marriage. Marry young. No abortions.

A lot of people are turned away by the popularity of the series, especially among teenager girls. A lot of people don't like following the crowd and it can be a bit overbearing to see so many people claim they are the number one fan of Twilight and that they know everything.

Agreed ^ I personally don't understand why people hate twilight. At first i hated twilight but then i read a few pages from my friend's twilight book and i was hooked. Now i am currently finished with the series and i really hope she makes more..which is unlikely. I find nothing wrong with the book. People are complaining about how her plotting sucks and how vampires don't sparkle. Please. Who cares??? Either you like the book or don't worry about it. Don't talk about the book like its trash because it not. So, people just need to chill and find a new hobby because hating on books probably because of it's cover is not going to get people anywhere.

I don't think that the people who hate Twilight are rotten. I do think they are inconsiderate, though.
