Why do people think it's weird for adults over the age of 18 to watch kids cartoons?

I dont know if it's stupid really because everybody has there likes and dislikes, and some people think it will make them a little kid again. Who cares! My Dad likes spiderman; my Mom's mate watchs Ben 10 and he is about 30 !
Just a bit of cleanup above before adding my opinion! Cartoons happen to be the livelihood of many an adult. Some are specifically targeted at the young and their inexperience with life. Others take a different tack and have large, complicated vocabularies used in a story that has adult themes. Graphic novels and, in Japan, a form of that genre called Manga have no child audience save for the ones that specifically target that market. Most are written for a more mature audience.

People, this show is obviously great. Why are you people complaining? Would you rather watch a show about a smart kid with two smart sisters living together with two smart parents? Oh, you would rather watch twelve minutes of a kid cleaning his room. Besides, Johnny is the perfect example of kids today and kids in 1983 when I used to go to school, too. Actually, Johnny Test is not copied from Spongebob. Spongebob basically is based on weird jokes. It's not copied from Dexter's Lab, either. Dexter's eyes are huge. But Susan and Mary's eyes are different. Susan's eyes are blue, like Johnny and Mary's eyes are green, sort of like Dukey's. Dee Dee is not Johnny either. When you people are comparing Dee Dee to Johnny it makes Dee Dee sound like she's eleven years old, every bit as dumb as Johnny(which isn't true because Johnny KNOWS he's annoying his sisters while Dee Dee doesn't know.), has a alter ego called Dee Dee X, loves Video Games and hates all things pink and cuddly, and is used as a lab rat.
