You shouldn't be surprised to see deer roaming the streets and sometimes elk and moose. Wyoming locals find it comical to see city dwellers getting out of their car to take a picture of an antelope or deer because they are used to seeing them all of the time. It's truly is a secret wonder of the 50 states if you are lucky enough to get a feel for what its true roots are. If you want to take a trip to Wyoming, it is cheap. You can probably find some locals to take you on an excursion: horseback ride, camping trip, rafting, or to see wildlife for little to no cost at all.
