Vomiting (regurgitation) is a reflex action when foods or other materials cannot be processed by the stomach. This can be because of alcohol or other chemicals that cannot be passed out of the stomach, food that has difficulty digesting, or a major irritation to the stomach lining.

Some vomiting is associated with nausea, which may not be related to stomach problems but instead to other conditions (dizziness, fever) that could prevent the proper digestive process. Seasickness, "morning sickness", and chemotherapy nausea are common forms of this type of vomiting.

There are many, many reasons to this. Food poisoning, stomach flu, food allergy, pregnancy, stress, over drinking, and many more. If it lasts for more then a day, you go see a doctor.
