without conflict, there is nothing to write, there is no story. the story of life is conflict, from a basic bacteria fighting to keep itself integral against its harsh environment, further up to the more complex forms of life.

the poem or story may not have a conclusion where the conflict is resolved, but, again, without conflict, no story would ever start.
