Because it is old not fresh
That would be gross. It's tissue and uterine lining, dead cells you don't want in your mouth. If it smells that bad when it sits and dries, do you really want breath that smells that way? Plus, there's only a teaspoon of blood in your period, but it's still gross, so I would say NO.
Wel your first period usually is brownish and smells VERY bad. Then probably by the next one you should see more red blood. Its darkish red.
The blood toward the end of your period that is darker and has been sitting in the uterus before being expelled can have a distinguishable odor. However, odor can also be associated with problems like infection.
Black blood clots do not relate to whether or not you are pregnant. You should see a doctor if the clots are bad. In general, if you are on your period/ losing blood, you are not pregnant. The smell and color mean you may have an infection It may also be an viral STI (as opposed to just bacterial).
